Calming Soles Reflexology Sally A Crookes MAR Clinical Reflexologist in High Santon, Scunthorpe

What is Reflexology ?

Reflexology is an ancient therapy, relaxing, gentle and non invasive, based on the theory that different points of the feet and hands correspond with different organs/systems of the body.

A trained Reflexologist will apply pressure to certain reflexes on the feet or hands in order to encourage homeostasis to be restored within the body.

The aim of Reflexology

The aim of a Reflexologist is to treat the whole person, mind, body and spirit, to encourage relaxation, balance and harmony within. We do not claim to cure illnesses through Reflexology, but by stimulating nerve pathways, applying pressure to reflexes on the feet or hands, we help to encourage the release of blockages and restore the flow of energy throughout the body .

Our aim is to encourage the body to heal itself from within and a treatment can provide relief from a wide range of conditions including stress, anxiety and sleep issues. We believe that treatments help to re-balance and relax the body, so improving well–being and restoring balance and equilibrium. The treatments will leave you with a calm and relaxed feeling.

What to expect when you arrive at my clinic

You will be welcomed by me and seated in my clinic where I have a comfortable, fully functioning therapy bed to make it easy for clients to get on and off it. On your first visit I will need to go through a consultation form with you in order for me to gain a medical history and background knowledge and ensure there are no contraindications to treatment. This will then enable me to complete a treatment plan for me to help in the most effective way.

You will then be made comfortable on the therapy bed with a light blanket placed over you, giving me access to your feet. You can then relax and unwind whilst I treat your feet; at the end of your session I will discuss with you how I feel I can help you and how many sessions you may require.

I also specialise in the NEPIP technique, developed to address stress levels, which stands for:

Neurology - which is based on the study of the Nervous system

Endocrinology - which is based on the study of the Endocrine system

Psychology - based on the study of the mind and how it behaves

Immunology - which studies the Immune system

Pody - which means “feet” in Greek
